Meet the Conroe Team Behind Otto’s Garage Door
You see the name on the van. What you may not know is who steps out of it. We’re a small crew based right here in Conroe, and we have been since 2004. No rotating cast, no strangers at your door. The same hands that fix your spring are the hands you’ll shake at the hardware store on Saturday morning. We live in this county, we raise kids in this county, and when your garage door fails at nine at night, one of us answers.
Our People
Otto Reinhardt, Owner & Lead Technician
Otto founded Otto’s Garage Door in 2004 with one truck, a used spring winder, and a promise to answer his own phone. He still answers it today, often at odd hours. He’s factory-trained across eight major brands: LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, Craftsman, and Raynor. Otto quotes the job on that first call and holds the number when he gets to your driveway. Ask him how many spring cycles are left on your door and he’ll tell you what he sees, the same way you’d read tire tread. He’ll also tell you that Otto reads the same from either end, same as the door. That line has never once stopped being true.
Marcus D., Senior Installer
Marcus has been hanging doors with Otto since 2011. He came up through residential framing, so he understands how a door sits in the opening, not just how the hardware mounts. Marcus handles most full door replacements in Conroe, from tear-out to final trim. He carries every certification the manufacturers offer for Clopay and Amarr installation, and he’s the first to point out when a door can be repaired instead of replaced. Outside of work, Marcus coaches Little League in Willis and can tell you which fields drain best after a spring storm.
Tina R., Service Coordinator & Parts Specialist
Tina is usually the voice on the phone during daytime hours, and she knows the parts wall better than anyone. She can identify a broken hinge over a video call, quote it precisely, and have the right piece on the truck before lunch. Tina has been with Otto’s since 2015 and handles scheduling, parts ordering, and the paperwork that keeps our license and insurance current for every job we run. If you call about a $40 repair discount or the senior and veteran 10% offer, Tina will apply it without being asked, because she believes the community comes before the margin. She splits her weekends between Lake Conroe and her garden, usually with a phone in her pocket in case a spring lets go.
James “Jimmy” C., Apprentice Technician
Jimmy joined the crew in 2022 after two years in trade school and a referral from his uncle, who we’d done work for in Montgomery. He rides with Otto on most emergency calls and handles spring replacements under direct supervision. Jimmy is methodical to a fault, which is exactly what you want on a 200-pound door riding on two loaded springs. He’s working toward his full brand certifications and already carries LiftMaster and Genie for opener installs. When he’s not on a ladder, Jimmy restores old fishing reels and will absolutely tell you about it if you ask.
One Standard, Every Job
Every person on this crew carries the same rules. The price quoted on the phone is the price at the door, before any work begins, every time. The 90-Day Done Right Promise goes in writing on every invoice, no exceptions. If something isn’t right, you call Otto directly. Not a queue, not a call center, not a national help line. One call brings him back. He’d rather make a job right than win an argument, and he has twenty-nine years of local reputation riding on that instinct.
Background checks, uniforms, and brand training matter, but the real standard is simpler than that. Would we do this job on our own garage door? If the answer is no, we don’t do it on yours. That’s the only test we’ve ever needed, and it’s worked since 2004.
